Barcelona’s supporters have taken to social media in their numbers this evening, to make their frustrations with boss Xavi clear.
As much comes amid heavy blame being placed on the doorstep of the Spaniard, on the back of the club’s latest outing.
Barca, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to Italy for the first leg of the club’s Champions League Last-16 showdown with Serie A champions Napoli.
The Blaugrana, all told, dominated proceedings in Naples, pinning their hosts back inside their own half for the majority of the clash.
In turn, it was only just when it was the visitors who opened the scoring, Robert Lewandowski rifling a fine finish into the bottom corner on the hour mark.
Just when Barcelona appeared to have Napoli on the ropes, however, the struggling Italians were allowed back into the game.
As the Catalans appeared to take their foot off the gas, the always-dangerous Victor Osimhen broke free to notch a decisive equaliser, fifteen minutes from time.
And this is how things remained through the full-time whistle at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Whilst, on the face of it, not a bad result for Barcelona, the club’s fans, as alluded to above, have not been at all shy in making their disappointment known post-match.
With victory, and potentially the tie, having been there for the taking on Wednesday, the La Liga giants failed to showcase their killer instinct when it mattered most.
And the blame for as much has since been placed squarely on the shoulders of headmaster Xavi, by widespread sections of the Blaugrana faithful.
