Hansi Flick wins out in talks over structure of Barcelona contract

The structure of the contract set to be afforded to the incoming Hansi Flick by La Liga giants Barcelona confirms that the German ultimately got his way in negotiations between the parties.

Flick, of course, is all set to take up the reins in Catalunya’s capital with a view to next season.

As much comes after Barcelona made official their decision to send current headmaster Xavi on his way, following this weekend’s La Liga finale against Sevilla.

So, what of the details of Flick’s terms at the Camp Nou?

As alluded to above, an insight into precisely as much has this afternoon been provided, by Mundo Deportivo, amongst others.

The German is set to put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the Blaugrana, through the summer of 2026.

This marks a win for Flick and his entourage, who ultimately saw their demands granted in the face of Barcelona’s managerial options drying up.

Deco and co. are understood to have been keen to hand their new boss an initial one-year guaranteed deal, featuring the option for a second.

However, in the end, Flick’s pressure proved telling.
