Hansi Flick was not impressed by one Barcelona star’s form during pre-season tour

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick was left altogether underwhelmed by the performances of a member of his attacking ranks, during the club’s recent pre-season tour of the USA.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards Vitor Roque as the player in question.

Frontman Roque, of course, was forced to face up to something of a trial period at Barcelona this summer.

After failing to convince former Blaugrana headmaster Xavi of his readiness to contribute, the Brazilian, just six months on from his arrival, was left with the task of impressing replacement Hansi Flick.

As alluded to above, however, if the latest word stemming from the media on Monday is anything to go by, then Roque’s efforts towards as much appear to have fallen flat.

As per Marca:

‘With Hansi Flick’s opinion still to be seen, the player was taken on tour in the USA, but the result was not satisfactory because he was not at a good level.’

The decision, in turn, has been made to seek out a new home for Roque for the season ahead, be it on loan or a permanent basis.
