Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is keen for the club to sanction a move for a member of the defensive ranks at Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur.
This comes amid the understanding that the German has set his sights on the addition of Pedro Porro to his Blaugrana backline.
The situation at right-back at the Spotify Camp Nou is considered to be somewhat up in the air as things stand. With Jules Koundé out of favour, and João Cancelo being utilised on the left, Eric García has been entrusted with starting duties.
The fact remains, though, that Eric is a central defender by trade. Amid ongoing speculation surrounding a potential Koundé exit, it should in turn come as little surprise to learn of Hansi Flick looking towards the market for fresh blood at right-back.
And according to Fichajes, citing El Nacional, the former Bayern Munich headmaster has a preferred profile in mind, too:
‘The German coach would be very keen on a top-quality signing. The chosen player would be Pedro Porro, a key player for
Tottenham Hotspur.’
Porro, for his part, formed an impressive partnership with none other than Barca standout Lamine Yamal at this summer’s World Cup, a key factor in Spain’s eventual triumph in North America.
