Real Madrid star back training with the ball for the first time in 6 months

La Liga giants Real Madrid have this week been afforded some welcome news on the personnel front. This comes by way of an update on the wellbeing of Rodrygo.

Frontman Rodrygo has for his part been sidelined since all the way back in March of this year. After taking to the pitch as a substitute in a La Liga meeting with Getafe, the Brazilian was revealed to have suffered a serious knee injury.

An ensuing round of tests confirmed ‘a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and a rupture of the lateral meniscus of his right leg’, ruling Rodrygo out of this summer’s World Cup and beyond.

The 25-year-old, though, has over recent weeks been spotted back at Valdebebas, ramping up his recovery under the watchful eye of the Real Madrid medical staff.

And as alluded to above, on Monday, Rodrygo’s comeback took an altogether meaningful step forward.

As showcased in the photo below, the versatile attacker has been given the green light to resume activities with the ball for the first time in over six months:
