Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has this week tipped Blaugrana frontman Raphinha to scoop a prestigious individual prize in 2027.
This comes fresh off the Brazilian’s latest starring performance in Barca colours on Tuesday night.
En route to the reigning Spanish champions putting three past Aston Villa without reply in the Champions League, Raphinha was on target to the tune of a brace.
This took his tally on the continent this term to four goals, despite the former Leeds United man having missed one of Barcelona’s four Champions League fixtures through injury.
Speaking to the media post-match, the aforementioned Hansi Flick was therefore asked if he feels that Raphinha could ultimately go on to claim the top scorer award in this season’s edition of the competition, ahead of the likes of Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.
And the German backed his in-form attacker, assuring:
“Raphinha can win the Golden Boot in 2027, I’m sure.”
