Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick made use of the opportunity to send a definitive message to the media regarding questions on Real Madrid on Monday.
This comes after the German was drawn on the name of Blancos star Vinícius Jr.
Winger Vinícius has of course dominated the headlines across all of Spain over recent days, after being shown a straight red card for a bizarre hair-pulling incident in Real Madrid’s victory over Villarreal.
The incident also saw the Brazilian’s goal ruled out, since sparking widespread chatter and debate amongst fans and the media alike.
After taking his place in front of the media on Monday evening, the aforementioned Hansi Flick was therefore inevitably asked for his thoughts on Vinícius’ situation.
Barcelona’s headmaster, however, took advantage of the opportunity to send a wider message regarding all things Real Madrid-related:
“I hope that one day you’ll learn that I never answer questions about Real Madrid when we’re not directly facing them. Come on, we’re preparing for Galatasaray, and we have to respect them. They’re a great team with a fantastic stadium and an incredible atmosphere. I don’t want to talk about Real Madrid because we have to focus on our own match. That’s how we approach things. Sorry for not answering your question.”
