Karim Adeyemi is currently edging out fellow Barcelona summer signing Anthony Gordon in the race for starter’s duties in the club’s next outing.
This comes owing to the respective players’ international breaks with their countries.
In the case of the former, Adeyemi was only asked to play in the first two of Germany’s four Nations League fixtures, after Jürgen Klopp called upon a massive 44-man squad list.
Gordon, on the other hand, has played a prominent role in England’s three outings to date, and will remain with the Three Lions for their fourth and final fixture of the break against Czechia on Tuesday.
This means that Adeyemi will boast significantly more rest than his attacking partner-in-crime ahead of Barcelona’s return to action against Getafe.
According to Diario Sport, the 24-year-old is therefore the favourite to fill the Blaugrana’s left wing from the off at the Camp Nou next Saturday.
