Valencia reach agreement to appoint José Bordalás as head coach

José Bordalás will leave Getafe to join Valencia as head coach, according to Cadena COPE.

The clubs have reached an agreement and could close the deal in the next few hours. Bordalás is expected to travel to Valencia tomorrow.

Valencia will not pay a termination clause for the coach, despite attempts from Getafe to receive €1.5 million, according to Valencian outlet Superdeporte. The two parties have ended up closing the deal without any financial exchange, however, there still could be an agreement for the loan of players between both clubs introduced as part of the deal.

The LaLiga club are expected to officially unveil their new manager over the coming days.
