Updates on the status of Barcelona pair Gavi and Gabriel Jesus for the club’s next outing have come to the fore on Friday. And the news regarding both is altogether encouraging.
Barcelona are primed to kick the defence of their La Liga title back into gear this coming Sunday, in a meeting with Valencia. Hansi Flick’s troops head into the matchup fresh off a stellar opening to the new campaign.
Across a trio of fixtures to date, the Blaugrana have racked up three wins, scoring 12 goals whilst allowing just two at the other end.
And at Mestalla, Flick could well have a pair of fresh faces to call upon in efforts to make it a perfect four victories from four.
Midfielder Gavi has been forced to sit out Barca’s last two outings, owing to a knee problem picked up on opening day. Gabriel Jesus, meanwhile, only arrived in Catalunya’s capital this week following his transfer from Premier League champions Arsenal.
As confirmed by Blaugrana insider Alex Pintanel, though:
‘Gavi and Gabriel Jesús complete the entire training session with the group.’
