La Liga giants Barcelona are ready to give the green light to an extended sponsorship agreement with UAE-based Ohana Real Estate Development and Construction LLC.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who report that, ahead of an upcoming vote on the matter at the Ordinary General Assembly on September 19th:
‘The agreement to exploit the Barça brand in a luxury residential complex in the United Arab Emirates will last more than 25 years.’
The Camp Nou brass have already received a sum of between €2-3 million as a down payment, with the ‘majority’ of the funds set to arrive over the next three financial years, at a rate of €10 million-per-annum.
In exchange, the Ohana logo will take its place on the back of Barcelona’s jersey for a period of three years, beginning in 2027. This will only be the case for domestic competitions. In Europe, the Fundació Barça logo will keep its place.
