A fresh update on the future of on-loan Barcelona star Ansu Fati has come to the fore on Sunday.
And the news will no doubt be met with widespread concern on the part of those desperate to see Ansu, when all is said and done, carve out a place for himself back at the club.
Recent days had seen word mount that the 21-year-old could yet take his place back amongst Xavi’s ranks for next season, with the Spanish tactician a firm believer in the talents of the young attacker.
In turn, it has come as something of a surprise, this evening, to see the exact opposite message pushed in the media.
As per transfer expert Matteo Moretto, speaking to Football-Espana, Ansu is in fact not in the plans of his parent club for 2024/25.
The Blaugrana academy product is in the midst of an underwhelming loan stint with Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion, in the process failing to convince the Barca brass of his readiness to contribute in a worthwhile manner.
Deco and co, as a result, are ready to seek out a fresh exit for Ansu in the summer, be it as part of another loan, or a permanent transfer.
