Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski names Real Madrid star as one of world’s two best players

Comments laid out by Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski have turned heads across Spain this weekend.

As much comes after the Polish international moved to reveal his admiration for one current, and one soon-to-be member of the first-team setup at arch rivals Real Madrid.

Lewandowski, for his part, recently sat down for an interview with Sport Bild.

During the discussion, a whole host of interesting topics were put to the veteran frontman, one of which surrounded world football’s standout performers at this moment in time.

Lewa’s Barcelona are of course fresh off seeing their feint hopes of retaining the club’s La Liga title brought to an end at the hands of Real Madrid last weekend.

But the Blaugrana’s star striker was nevertheless keen to give credit where it is very much due, in hailing Blancos standout Jude Bellingham.

Asked for his take on the best player in the game at present, Lewandowski highlighted two names – midfielder Bellingham, and soon-to-be Real Madrid teammate, Kylian Mbappé.

“It’s difficult to say because we still have the European Championships and the last decisive matches of the Champions League ahead of us,” the Barcelona man began, as cited by Marca. “But at this moment Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham are for me the most outstanding players in the world.”
