A new contributor was spotted back in the thick of things at the pre-season training session held by La Liga giants Real Madrid on Monday.
The player in question? Arda Güler.
Midfielder Arda is of course fresh off a summer spent plying his trade on the international front, with his native Türkiye.
En route to the Turks being sent packing from the World Cup in disappointing fashion in the group stage, the 21-year-old played his part in all three fixtures.
Arda chipped in with a solitary goal, too, as Vincenzo Montella’s troops restored some pride with a final day victory over tournament hosts USA in Los Angeles.
As alluded to above, though, early this week, the youngster has turned his focus firmly back towards matters at club level.
A week on from Real Madrid’s non-internationals kickstarting preparations for the new campaign at Valdebebas, Arda linked up with new manager José Mourinho’s squad in Spain’s capital.
