Franck Kessié denies transfer rumours of a possible Barcelona departure in January

Franck Kessié is not planning to leave Barcelona despite the transfer rumours surrounding him, report Mundo Deportivo.

The 25-year-old joined Els Culers in the summer of 2022 as a free agent after choosing not to renew his contract with AC Milan.

However, over the last couple of months he has been struggling for game time and he has failed to establish himself as a regular in the Barcelona starting XI.

In addition to insterest from Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Fulham, it is believed that Inter Milan would be keen on signing Kessié on loan in January. Nonetheless, the Ivory Coast international wants to fight for his place in the team, which was reaffirmed by his agent George Atangana:

“It’s fake news, totally false. He is not moving. Kessié will continue to work to earn a place in the team. He is not a player who gives up easily. He had other offers in the summer and he made a strong commitment to Barça.”
