Two former La Liga stars were at the heart of a heated exchange during a meeting between the Chicago Fire and Inter Miami in Major League Soccer this week.
The two players in question? Robert Lewandowski, and Rodrigo De Paul.
Both frontman Lewandowski and midfielder De Paul featured from the off in the early hours of Thursday, as the aforementioned Chicago and Miami locked horns in a league clash.
The former went on to open the scoring in proceedings, before Lionel Messi’s corner kick was nodded home by Casemiro en route to a 1-1 result.
As alluded to above, though, it was Lewandowski and De Paul, former rivals at Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, who were involved in a heated back-and-forth.
In disagreement over a decision, the latter’s harsh jab at legendary goalscorer ‘Lewa’ was then picked up by DAZN, as follows:
”Who are you? I’ve won two Copa Américas and a World Cup. And you?”
