Real Madrid working to tie another key performer down until 2032

The board at La Liga giants Real Madrid have kickstarted efforts to lock midfield star Jude Bellingham down for the long term.

This comes amid the understanding that negotiations over the terms of a new contract are now underway between the Bernabéu brass, and the entourage of the England international.

Bellingham is of course in the midst of a fine start to the new campaign in Spain’s capital. Playing a central role in the setup of new manager José Mourinho, the former Borussia Dortmund man has racked up four direct goal contributions in four La Liga appearances.

Fresh off a spectacular individual campaign at the World Cup, Bellingham appears to be back to his very best form. And as alluded to above, such excellence has evidently not gone unappreciated on the part of those in a position of power at Real Madrid.

As per a report from Blancos journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon:

‘Real Madrid are already working on renewing Bellingham’s contract, and there’s optimism about the possibility of reaching an agreement. They’re considering a contract until 2032.’
