According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona expect to announce the signing of Ferran Torres on Monday 27 December and then officially present him on 28 December.
Manchester City and Barça have reached an agreement for the transfer of the Spain international.
The deal should be closed for €55 million plus €10 million in variables. Although City had some doubts about Barcelona’s ability to cope with the operation, Pep Guardiola admitted on Thursday that the departure of the player was imminent.
Torres, 21, has made steady progress since he arrived at City from Valencia for €23 million in the summer of 2020.
