Ex-Barcelona pair Neymar & Gerard Piqué recreate infamous ‘se queda’ photo

Former Barcelona stars Neymar and Gerard Piqué reunited on Friday, taking advantage of the opportunity to have some fun with the Blaugrana faithful.

This comes with the pair having recreated their infamous ‘Se queda’ photo, albeit, on this occasion, with a twist.

Back in the summer of 2017, Neymar and Piqué grabbed headlines across the continent, courtesy of one simple post on social media.

The post in question saw the pair pose for a photo, accompanied by the caption ‘Se queda’.

Translating as ‘he stays’, this came amid a lengthy transfer saga, linking Neymar with a move to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Those of a Barcelona persuasion desperate for the Brazilian to stay put, in turn, took Piqué’s post as, frankly, the best news possible.

And yet, just days later, Neymar was nevertheless on his way, linking up with PSG in a world-record €222 million transfer.

Safe to say, then, that the subject likely marks a bit of a touchy one across certain contingents of the Barcelona fanbase.

As alluded to above, though, on Friday, the pair at the heart of the drama have moved to make light of the story.

This comes with Neymar and Piqué having unveiled a fresh social media collaboration, on this occasion in the form of a video.

In the footage in question, the latter begins by saying “now yes, he stays.”

From here, the camera pans to Neymar, who responds with “now for real!”, before the ex-Blaugrana teammates enjoy a heartfelt laugh:
