‘Everyone saw we were better’ – Xavi claims Barcelona deserved win vs Real Madrid

The latest comments on the part of Barcelona head coach Xavi have turned heads across Spain late tonight.

As much comes with the tactician having made clear his feelings that Barcelona were deserving of victory over Real Madrid.

The latest edition of El Clásico of course played to completion a short time ago.

Despite taking the lead not once, but twice on the evening, when all was said and done, visitors Barcelona were condemned to the wrong side of a 3-2 scoreline.

This came owing to goals on the part of all of Vinícius Jr, Lucas Vázquez, and Jude Bellingham.

As alluded to above, though, one individual adamant that the final scoreline in Spain’s capital was not an accurate representation of the 90 minutes, comes in the form of Xavi.

Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle this evening, the former midfielder assured:

“Everyone saw that we were better. Imagine when these 17-18 year olds are 20. In the future there will be success.

“We have to tell the fans that we deserved to win and were better than Real Madrid.”
