Espanyol consider move for Real Madrid defender Jesús Vallejo

Jesús Vallejo could leave Real Madrid this summer and, although the Zaragoza native intends to stay, the club is looking for an offer that is beneficial for all parties, according to Goal.

The latest club to take an interest in his situation is Espanyol, who, according to Goal, are considering the centre-back as a candidate to strengthen their defence for next season.

Espanyol, who yesterday announced the signing of Brian Oliván from RCD Mallorca, so far their only signing of the summer, are on the lookout for central defenders and have seen Vallejo as a feasible option.

New Espanyol manager Diego Martínez worked with the 25-year-old at Granada for a season and a half and approves of the potential signing.

In a recent press conference, Espanyol sporting director Domingo Catoira asked for patience as they continue to build their squad. According to Transfermarkt, the Real Madrid player has an estimated market value of three million euros.
