Bayern Munich not budging for Barcelona or Robert Lewandowski

Barcelona expected Bayern Munich’s stance to change in their bid to sign striker Robert Lewandowski.

According to Relevo journalist Toni Juanmartí, the German club have not been open to more talks regarding a move for the Polish striker.

Lewandowski will do everything he can to go to Barca this summer and has publicly admitted that he wants to leave the Bundesliga champions.

Bayern did not respond to the La Liga club’s first offer and it remains to be seen what they will do if an improved offer comes in from Camp Nou.

Bayern are still determined that Lewandowski will honour his contract and, at the very least, remain at the club until 30 June 2023, when his contract expires.

Last week Hasan Salihamidzic, Bayern’s sporting director, met with Lewandowski face to face to try to convince him to stay at the club.

The 33-year-old is still hopeful that the situation will change.
