Details: Hansi Flick’s ‘Raphinha plan’ for Barcelona vs Getafe

An insight into the plans of Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick for star attacker Raphinha in the club’s next outing has come to the fore online.

This comes amid the understanding that, as things stand, the 29-year-old will not be in Barca’s starting line-up to face Getafe this coming weekend.

Frontman Raphinha was forced into a premature departure from international duty with Brazil last week, sparking widespread concern back in Catalunya’s capital.

The former Leeds United man is fresh off a staggering start to the new season, meaning any incoming absence of note would have marked a heavy blow for club and player alike.

As much was subsequently ruled out upon Raphinha undergoing a round of checks under the watch of the Barcelona medical team. But as alluded to above, the Blaugrana captain is nevertheless set to be left on the bench when Hansi Flick’s troops mark their return to action on Saturday.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘Hansi Flick intends to rest Raphinha against José Bordalás’ Getafe. The German coach’s idea at the moment is that the Brazilian will not start. Depending on the needs of the match, he could enter the pitch later or not add a minute.’
