Dani Alves, 38, is undergoing his Barcelona medical before signing his contract with the Catalan club until June 2022, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Brazilian full-back arrived at Barcelona Hospital at around 9 am local time on Monday to complete the required tests.
While waiting for the club to give details this morning of the date and time of his presentation, which is expected to take place on Wednesday, Alves will start training this evening under Xavi Hernández, in a session that the new head coach has set for 6 pm at the Ciutat Esportiva de Sant Joan Despí.
Alves will not be able to make his debut until January. His debut could come against Mallorca at San Moix, a match initially scheduled for Sunday 2 January.
