According to journalist Manu Carreño on Cadena SER’s El Larguero, Barcelona would be ready to part ways with star player Alexia Putellas should the right offer come in.
Putellas, the winner of two Ballon d’Or awards, is believed to be happy at the Catalan club and would like to see out her successful career at Camp Nou.
The Spain international recently helped Barca to win the 2022-23 Champions League title with a win over Wolfsburg, after she spent a long spell on the sidelines having picked up an ACL injury on international duty in 2022.
The news regarding a potential Putellas departure was initially reported by El Periódico in June and is said to be a response to Barcelona’s need to reduce salaries and cut costs at the club.
Carreño reports that the club would consider selling the 29-year-old if the right offer comes in over the coming months.
