The mounting tensions between the respective boards at Chelsea and Atlético Madrid could be in line to kick up yet another notch this week.
As much comes amid confirmation that the Blues are ready to call Conor Gallagher back to west London.

Despite their own hopes of reaching an agreement to land João Félix, the board at Stamford Bridge have put plans in place to recall the aforementioned Gallagher from Spain.
As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:
‘Chelsea request Conor Gallagher to return to London on Tuesday, set to book flight.’
The ‘door remains open’ for Atlético to push the transfer over the line, but, in the meantime, Chelsea have evidently grown tired of waiting…
