Chelsea & Man United among 5 clubs eyeing summer move for Barcelona star

A headline member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is attracting transfer interest from across the continent.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Jules Koundé as being the player in question.

France international Koundé is of course one of a whole host of players to have been tipped for an exit from Catalunya’s capital this coming summer.

Despite remaining an absolutely integral member of boss Xavi’s backline, and having enjoyed a major upturn in form over the 2nd half of the campaign, the former Sevilla man could yet be shipped off.

Why? Something of an ‘overbooking’ at the back at Barcelona, as well as the club’s desperate need for fresh funds.

And, should the definitive call ultimately be made to sanction a sale, it is safe to say that Koundé will not be short on suitors.

As per a report from the aforementioned MD, no fewer than five clubs from across the continent are sniffing around the signature of the 25-year-old with a view to next season.

The most prominent interest stems from the Premier League, where all of Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle United are attentive to the situation.

Elsewhere, French heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain are also keen, with Serie A champions Inter Milan ready to position themselves in the fray, too.
