The defender’s contract at Chelsea expires this summer and Madrid’s interest grew after his performance against Los Blancos in the Champions League.
The player’s representatives are thought to be close to reaching an agreement with the Spanish giants after he lowered his salary demands.
Di Marzio reports that Manchester United made the best financial proposal, but Rüdiger wants guaranteed Champions League football.
Rüdiger (29) also had offers from Juventus and PSG.
