Carlo Ancelotti: “Very few would have had two Spanish teams in the semi-finals and we might have a third one.”

Carlo Ancelotti spoke to the media after Real Madrid advanced to the Champions League semi-finals with a 5-4 aggregate win over Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.

Can anyone say that Madrid are not going to win this Champions League?

“No one can say that. Nobody can say that we are going to win it. Today we showed that we can compete until the last game. I want to congratulate Villarreal, who have put in a strong performance. Congratulations to Unai. Very few would have had two Spanish teams in the semi-finals and we might have a third one tomorrow.”

Real Madrid will face the winners of Atlético Madrid – Manchester City in the Champions League semi-finals.

Villarreal will play either Liverpool or Benfica in the other semi-final.
