Dani Parejo hits out at Julian Nagelsmann after Villarreal victory

Speaking to Movistar after Villarreal knocked Bayern Munich out of the Champions League, Villarreal midfielder Dani Parejo spoke about Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann.

“When the draw was made and they were drawn against Villarreal, their coach, who I don’t know, disrespected not only Villarreal but also football by saying that he wanted to settle the tie in the first leg. For us it was disrespectful.”

Parejo was instrumental in the Villarreal engine room as they beat the Bundesliga side over 180 minutes.

Villarreal progressed to the Champions League semi-finals for the first time since 2006 with the result in Germany. Substitute Samuel Chukwueze scored the match winner in the 88th minute at the Allianz Arena.
