Carlo Ancelotti provides Arda Güler-Real Madrid debut update

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has provided an insight into his plans to afford summer signing Arda Güler a long-awaited first appearance for the club.

Midfielder Güler, of course, opted to take his talents to Spain’s capital with a view to the 2023/24 campaign, after Real beat out competition from arch rivals Barcelona for the Turk’s signature.

Despite the widespread excitement surrounding his arrival, however, the 18-year-old is yet to manage a solitary outing for Los Blancos.

This comes owing to a string of injury relapses.

He was afforded a spot on the bench for Real’s midweek victory over Mallorca, but was not risked by Carlo Ancelotti.

Speaking to the media ahead of his side’s Copa del Rey meeting with minnows Arandina this weekend, Ancelotti was, in turn, inevitably asked for the latest on Güler’s wellbeing.

And the Italian went on to reveal that the youngster is at long last in line for his debut, potentially from the off:

“Arda can start tomorrow. We will make a decision then,” Ancelotti explained, as cited by Marca.
