Carlo Ancelotti expresses his unhappiness with the La Liga calendar

In Real Madrid’s press conference before tomorrow’s La Liga game against Granada, Carlo Ancelotti made it clear how he feels about the fact that his team have to play Deportivo Alavés on December 21 at 9:30 pm.

As reported by Relevo, Ancelotti said that the late kick-off means his players will have “one day less to be with the family”. The schedule is especially bad for South American players who have to travel more than others.

Fede Valverde, for example, would have about 13 hours of travel to get to Uruguay meaning he would get there just a couple of days before Christmas.

The tension at Real Madrid with the schedule is obvious for all to see and this is not the first time Ancelotti has complained, nor will it be the last.

After the Christmas break, Los Blancos return to action against Mallorca on January 3.
