Real Madrid: Major updates in Kylian Mbappé and Alphonso Davies pursuits

A pair of major updates surrounding the planned transfer of the powers that be at Real Madrid have been forthcoming this evening.

First up comes the latest on Los Blancos’ pursuit of Bayern Munich player Alphonso Davies.

It is of course widespread knowledge that Florentino Pérez and Co. have identified left-back Davies as the ideal addition to the club’s defensive ranks.

An all-out assault on his signature is therefore expected next summer, with Relevo having today revealed that the latest internal discussions surrounding the Canadian pointed towards his arrival in Spain’s capital being ‘very advanced’.

This comes with Davies, for his part, continuing to hold out in contract negotiations with Bayern, keen to test his talents in the colours of Real.

The left-back spot, though, is unlikely to be the only area of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad reinforced with a view to next season.

Madrid are also eyeing fresh blood in the final third, with Relevo providing an update on such endeavours, too.

Unsurprisingly, the news surrounds Kylian Mbappé, and Real’s ongoing hopes of landing the Frenchman.

Despite recent suggestions of a breakdown in negotiations between the respective parties, it is assured that the Bernabéu brass are readying one final effort to bring Mbappé in from Paris Saint-Germain.

As much will be forthcoming in January, when the capital heavyweights will seek out a definitive pre-contract agreement, desperate to avoid a repeat of two years ago, when the Frenchman backtracked on a verbal deal with Real to pen fresh terms in Paris.

Mbappé will therefore be required to make crystal clear his desire to make the move to Madrid during next month’s talks, or risk the plug being pulled on the transfer once and for all.
