Carlo Ancelotti compares Jude Bellingham to former Real Madrid star & Ballon d’Or winner

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has today revealed his opinion that comparisons between midfield star Jude Bellingham and ex-Blancos standout Kaká are not at all unreasonable.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of his side’s return to action against RB Leipzig on Wednesday night, Real boss Ancelotti was drawn once more on the remarkable debut campaign being enjoyed by the aforementioned Bellingham in Spain’s capital.

The England international, for his part, made the move to the Santiago Bernabéu last summer, in a big-money move from Borussia Dortmund.

Bellingham arrived with lofty expectations on his shoulders, despite still being just 20 years of age.

Safe to say, however, that he has since blown even the loftiest hopes for his prospective impact firmly out of the water.

All told, across 30 appearances in all competitions to date, Bellingham has racked up a head-turning 28 direct goal contributions.

Such stellar production has culminated in comparisons with some of world football’s very best, including, as alluded to above, Brazilian icon Kaká.

Attacking midfielder Kaká spent four years of his glittering career on the books of Real Madrid, though his Ballon d’Or-clinching best came under the watch of none other than Carlo Ancelotti, at AC Milan.

Speaking to the media earlier today, the latter, in turn, was asked whether he sees a likeness between Kaká, and Bellingham.

And Ancelotti was not shy in confirming precisely that, in responding:

“Yes, he has something from Kaká. I don’t think there is much difference.”
