Bayer Leverkusen and Real Madrid in talks for Iker Bravo; Atlético still in race

As reported by Sergio Santos of Relevo, Bayer Leverkusen forward Iker Bravo wants to join Real Madrid.

Cross-city rivals Atlético Madrid are also interested in the 17-year-old. Santos has explained on Twitter that Bravo has decided that he wants to play for Real Madrid, adding that he would join Real Madrid Castilla and would also play in the Youth League.

Despite the fact that talks are taking place between Real Madrid and Leverkusen, Santos is not ruling out Atlético Madrid from signing the teenager, saying that they are still in the running.

If this signing goes through, Real Madrid would secure one of Spain’s top talents, who has already seen playing time in the Bundesliga.

The young Spanish forward is training with the Bayer Leverkusen first team, but he will unlikely receive much game time and will play with the U19s as he continues to develop his game.

The Spanish youth international left Barcelona last summer. His first season with the German club can be considered a success, as in addition to training with the first team, he made his debut in the Bundesliga.
