Barcelona’s fans have reinvented a Patrick Kluivert chant for Vitor Roque

Barcelona’s supporters have moved to showcase their appreciation for new striker Vitor Roque, courtesy of a revamped chant.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have this evening provided an insight into the situation.

Roque, of course, is fresh off something of a whirlwind week, which saw the Brazilian open his account in Barcelona colours, before making it two in two, only to be subsequently sent off for a pair of bookable offences.

The Blaugrana faithful, though, have been quick to showcase their support for the club’s young frontman, adamant that his dismissal was altogether unjustified.

And that is not all…

As per the aforementioned MD, Barca’s fanbase have also unveiled their first personalised chant for Roque.

Heard booming from the stands in the Catalans’ meetings with both Osasuna and Alavés, was:

“Let Vitor Roque score a goal, let Vitor Roque score a goal.”

This comes as an updated version of a chant conjured up for a Barcelona hitman of some two decades ago, in the form of Patrick Kluivert.

“Let Patrick Kluivert score a goal, let Patrick Kluivert score a goal,” was a regular feature throughout the Blaugrana’s fixtures during the Dutchman’s time in La Liga from 1998 to 2004.

A mere month into his own stint in Catalunya’s capital, Vitor Roque, evidently, is already making his presence felt.
