Barcelona youngster closing on summer exit

A member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona is inching towards an imminent loan departure from the club.

The player in question? Diego Kochen.

Youngster Kochen, for his part, is a 20-year-old shot-stopper, held in high regard by all behind the scenes at Barcelona.

The American international spent this past season plying his trade with Barca Atlètic, continuing to impress with his performances at reserve level.

At a pivotal point in his fledgling career, though, Kochen is now keen to secure for himself regular minutes at senior level.

With as much not set to be available in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona ranks next season, the Camp Nou brass have therefore begun exploring loan options for their young goalkeeper.

And if the latest word stemming from the media this week is anything to go by, then a landing spot which would satisfy all parties may well have been found.

As per a report from Cadena SER, Kochen is close to taking his talents to Denmark, with Lyngby Boldklub.

Lyngby, fresh off being promoted back to the top-flight of Danish football, are understood to have promised the American guaranteed starter minutes for the 2026/27 campaign.
