The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona are ready to stand by defender Ronald Araújo through the upcoming summer transfer window.
This comes amid the assurance that the Uruguayan will be going nowhere over the months ahead.
The subject of Araújo’s future has of course returned to the fore in the media headlines in Catalunya’s capital over recent months.
After a tumultuous campaign for the 27-year-old in the colours of Barcelona last time out, during which Araújo lost his starter status, reports suggested that a sufficient offer could see the Camp Nou hierarchy sanction his sale this summer.
If ensuing word stemming from the Spanish press this week is anything to go by, however, then no such move will be forthcoming.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘The centre-back is not on the transfer list and only the unequivocal will of the footballer could make the sporting management change their plans, which has other plans in terms of possible departures this summer.’
