On 30 June, Mundo Deportivo reported that Barcelona winger Raphinha was attracting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.
The news was reported by journalist and MD contributor Achraf Ben Ayad, who has now added on his Twitter account that “Barça have received an offer from a Saudi Arabian club for Raphinha”.
The name of the club willing to convince Barça and Raphinha, who has enjoyed his first season at the club, winning La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup, has not been revealed. Newcastle were also previously interested in his situation.
The Brazilian has said every time he has been asked about his future that he wants to stay at FC Barcelona, but he would not be the first player to change his mind after receiving such a large sum of money in the form of a Saudi offer.
The Brazil international has a contract with the La Liga champions until 2027. Barça paid €57 million plus another €8 million in variables for the left-footed attacker.
