Barcelona one of several European clubs monitoring 16-year-old wonderkid

Despite being just 16 years of age, Kebir Ali Canpolat has caused quite a stir across Europe with his performances for Eintracht Frankfurt’s U17s.

According to Sport, Barcelona have shown interest in the promising teenage winger but they are not alone. Inter Milan, Juventus, Ajax, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are also chasing the signature of the Turkish-born winger.

The Blaugrana club have already signed talented Brazilian Vitor Roque, but they desperately missed out on Arda Güler who rejected Barça to join fierce rivals Real Madrid.

Last season Canpolat registered 12 goals to go with eight assists for Eintracht Frankfurt’s U17s but the player is determined to leave the German club this summer as he feels there isn’t much of an opportunity to break into the first team.

Because he has dual nationality, the winger was able to choose between Turkey and Germany. Subsequently, he chose to represent Turkey. Since then, he has featured 13 times for the Turkish U17 national team, bagging four goals in the process.
