The agent of Barcelona star Alejandro Balde is scouring the market for a potential new landing spot for his client following the turn of the year.
Full-back Balde is for his part in the midst of what has been a hugely challenging opening to the new campaign in Catalunya’s capital.
Sitting behind both Xavi Espart and João Cancelo in the pecking order on the left of boss Hansi Flick’s backline, the Spaniard has been restricted to just a pair of appearances in all competitions.
Balde was linked with a departure from the Camp Nou over the summer, but ultimately made the call to stay put to fight for his place.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media this week is anything to go by, then the 22-year-old staying put through January appears far from certain.
As per a report from Diario Sport, citing Italian outlet Il Messaggero:
‘His agent, Jorge Mendes, is exploring different alternatives to find a way out for the player. Mendes would have offered Balde to Roma, who are studying the possibility of signing him during the January transfer window.’
