Mundo Deportivo report that Barcelona are hoping to agree new deals with a couple of players over the coming weeks.
The contract renewal offer for winger Ousmane Dembélé is in its final phase and it now depends on the player’s own decision after the club made its highest offer to the 24-year-old.
Gavi is one of the club’s latest emerging talents and at 17 is already playing in a midfield role for the Spanish national team. The club intends to move quickly although it has not yet contacted the midfielder’s agent, Iván de la Peña. The long-term proposal for Gavi will see his salary increase year on year.
Gavi’s contract does not expire until 30 June 2023. The teenager has already made it clear that his future lies at Barça and playing at Camp Nou so the negotiations are expected to be straightforward between both parties.
