Barcelona send contract offers to trio of youngsters

The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have forwarded contract renewal offers to the representatives of three of the club’s most promising young talents.

That’s according to Toni Juanmartí of Diario Sport, who has, on Tuesday, provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Amid the long-standing financial woes being endured at the Camp Nou, the Barca brass are now more than ever aware of just how important it is to lean on the club’s La Masia production line.

Deco and co, as a result, have already initiated efforts to tie down all of Pau Cubarsí, Héctor Fort, and Marc Guiu for the long-term.

This comes amid confirmation that all three have been on the receiving end of contract renewal proposals.

Negotiations between the parties remain in the preliminary phase, but Barcelona are keen to fast-track developments over the months ahead.

The terms of both full-back Fort and frontman Guiu are due to expire in the summer of 2025, with those of Cubarsí spanning through 2026.

Though all three are considered key pieces for the future in Catalunya, the renewal of the latter is viewed as a particular priority, amid mounting interest in his services from across the continent.

Despite still being just 17 years of age, stopper Cubarsí has already established himself as a starter at the heart of boss Xavi’s backline, widely viewed as the future of the Blaugrana’s defence by the club’s coaching and boardroom staff alike.
