La Liga giants Barcelona have on Friday registered another important member of the club’s first-team ranks for action in Spain’s top-flight this coming season. The latest Blaugrana star eligible to take to the pitch over the coming weeks and months? Andreas Christensen.
The subject of registrations has taken its place centre stage in the media headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the day to date.
Just 48 hours out from Barcelona’s La Liga opener against Elche, Hansi Flick was still technically unable to call on any of summer signings Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi, João Cancelo or Rodri.
The Camp Nou brass have since partially rectified this situation, in confirming the registrations of both attacker Adeyemi and midfielder Rodri.
And as alluded to above, on Friday evening, Flick and his staff have breathed another collective sigh of relief…
After he required re-registration with La Liga following the expiration of the Dane’s contract this summer, Barca have officially locked defender Andreas Christensen in for the 2026/27 campaign:
