Barcelona open the door to another high-profile summer sale

The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona are ready to listen to offers for a leading member of the club’s attacking ranks this summer.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Ferran Torres as being the player in question.

It is of course common knowledge that a whole host of high-profile Barcelona players are essentially on the chopping block, ahead of the summer transfer window.

As much comes owing to both the Blaugrana’s need for a financial boost, and disappointing form of the group as a collective.

To date, versatile attacker Ferran was one of the few players who was thought to have been safe, owing to the Spaniard’s favour in the eyes of Xavi.

Though fitness woes have hampered him over the 2nd half of the campaign, the former Manchester City man shone early on, finally showcasing flashes of the player whom Barca thought they were buying en route to 11 goals and four assists by mid-January.

If the latest word doing the rounds late on Monday is anything to go by, however, then Ferran, too, could yet be shipped off with a view to next season.

As per the aforementioned Sport, the solitary member of Barcelona’s frontline who is completely off the market this summer is Lamine Yamal.

It is in turn reiterated that, ‘if an offer arrives’ for Ferran, it will be taken into serious consideration by the Camp Nou brass.
