The powers that be at Barcelona have identified Las Palmas star Sergi Cardona as a target for the upcoming summer transfer window.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who has this evening provided an insight into the situation.
Cardona, for his part, is attracting widespread attention across not only Spain, but Europe as a whole at present.
This comes with the talented left-back yet to pen fresh terms with the aforementioned Las Palmas, ahead of the expiration his contract in the summer.
Barcelona, on the lookout for reinforcements at left-back owing to both the long-term injury suffered by Alejandro Baldé, and Marcos Alonso’s impending exit, have in turn set their sights on Cardona’s signature.
As per transfer insider Romano, the Blaugrana are not only ‘tracking him’, but recently went as far as to make contact with the representatives of the 24-year-old, to explore the terms of a deal.
It now remains to be seen whether or not Cardona himself is keen on the prospect of a move to Catalunya, or would rather link up with a club where he is guaranteed a spot in the starting XI.
