Barcelona have been in informal talks with Juventus forward Federico Bernardeschi’s agent, according to journalist Toni Juanmartí.
The Italy international’s contract expires on 30 June. Taking advantage of a trip to Turin for the Golden Boy awards, Mateu Alemany, Barça’s director of football, was in touch with the Italian striker’s agent, Federico Pastorello. It was an informal meeting, but the possibility that Bernareschi could be in the Barça team next season was discussed.
The Catalan side are keeping an eye on players with contracts expiring on 30 June and Bernardeschi is one of them. It is not the first time that Barça and Juventus have been in contact over the 27-year-old.
Alemany and Pastorello agreed to talk in more depth in the coming weeks to study the possible options.
