Following on from numerous reports over the last 24 hours that Dani Olmo was set to be cleared for registration for Barcelona, the Catalan club have finally set the record straight.
The club took to their social media in order to share the news of Olmo’s registration, posting a photo of the midfielder with the caption: ‘Let’s go to Vallecas‘.
This would appear to indicate that the 26-year-old could be set to start, or at the very least feature, in his side’s clash with Rayo Vallecano in Vallecas on Tuesday evening.
Barcelona had to take several financial measures in order to ensure that Olmo could be registered to play for the club, with the recent transfer of İlkay Gündoğan and loan deal for Clément Lenglet helping the club achieve this.
All eyes will now be on Barcelona on Tuesday night, to see whether their new star will be thrown straight into the action or whether he may feature from the bench.
It has been just over ten years since Dani Olmo originally left the club’s La Masia academy to move to Croatia, but on Tuesday evening he will be a Barcelona player once more.
