Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen is attracting fresh interest from the Premier League.
That’s according to Sport, who have provided a fresh insight into the future of the Dane on Saturday.
Christensen, it is claimed, is back in the sights of Newcastle, who view the 27-year-old as the perfect addition to the club’s backline.
The Magpies also expressed an interest in his signature during the summer, with Christensen of course boasting experience in English football, owing to his largely successful stint with Chelsea.
In turn, it is suggested that an offer could be forthcoming for his services, potentially as soon as the winter transfer window.
Those of a Barcelona persuasion keen for Christensen to stay put on the back of a stellar debut campaign in Catalunya, though, need not fret.
This comes with the Blaugrana having absolutely no intention of parting with the stopper.
Though he has rotated in and out of Xavi Hernández’s starting XI of late, Christensen is viewed as an integral piece of the puzzle at Camp Nou, ‘no matter how much interest there is from the Premier League’.
The Danish international himself, meanwhile, is said to be happy in Spain, ready to battle it out for his place at the heart of Barca’s backline.
