Barcelona come to decision on Ferran Torres’ future beyond the summer

The powers that be at Spanish giants Barcelona have come to a definitive decision on the future of attacker Ferran Torres.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have this afternoon provided a fresh insight into developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Torres, it is claimed, ‘will continue next season at Barcelona’.

The 23-year-old is understood to have secured the full trust of both the coaching and boardroom staff at Barca, across the season to date.

As much comes in no small part owing to his stellar attitude, with Torres having managed to turn around what at one point looked a near unsalvageable situation.

All told, the term to date has seen the Spanish international rack up 11 goals and four assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.

This makes Torres Barcelona’s 2nd top scorer, behind only star frontman Robert Lewandowski.

Ahead of what could mark something of a summer clearout on the departing Xavi’s playing squad, the former Manchester City man, in turn, can rest easy in the knowledge that he will be going nowhere any time soon.
